The A.I.S.E Charter is awarded by an independent industry body that promotes a common industry approach to sustainability practices and reporting throughout the life-cycle of the recipient’s products.
The Charter was launched in 2004 in all EU countries plus Iceland, Norway and Switzerland by the Association Internationale de la Savonnerie, de la Detergence et des Produits d’Entretien ( A.I.S.E ), the International Association for Soaps, Detergents and Maintenance products and covers all product categories in the household, industrial and institutional sectors.
Companies participating in the Charter must take sustainability into account during the development and manufacture of its products across all phases of the product life-cycle, from product design through to manufacturing and disposal. This ensures that products are manufactured in a safe manner and takes care of the environment through more effective use of chemicals and natural resources whilst ensuring the health and wellbeing of its employees, customers and consumers. Companies awarded the Charter can use the Sustainable Charter logo on their products.
